Kichesippi Beer
You may wonder, “where does the name come from?” Kichesippi means “The Great River”. Prior to 1855, when the City of Ottawa was founded, the river that ran through the city was known as the Kichesippi. That river has been an integral part of the history of Ottawa and Eastern Ontario for many years and since we are strongly associated with the City of Ottawa, found that it related to us well.

Located in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario at 2265 Robertson Road, our beers are brewed with a lot of hard work and care. We have a wonderful team that is strongly dedicated to providing the best beer and service around.
Geoffrey J. Skeggs
Geoffrey has a passion for all things wine, beer, and whisky and how best to pair food with them. His start was in the mid-nineties where he worked in production for a small
New Hampshire craft brewery. After graduation, he held various roles for a leading Quebec brewer which brought him to Toronto where he worked for the brewery’s provincial agency. It was there that his industry knowledge was broadened to include
wine and spirits. He transitioned from sales manager to brand management, where he traveled and imported wine from all the leading wine regions. Upon returning to Ottawa,
Geoffrey updated his sommelier training at Algonquin College where he was the recipient of the National Capital Sommelier Guild’s Scholarship for Wine Education.
After completing his Sommelier Certificate with honors, Geoffrey was asked to return to teach in the program creating both the beer course and the whisky course. Today, Geoffrey continues leading fun and educational events for consumers and businesses.
